In celebration of Black History Month, the Greater Washington DC Black Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the DC Department of Insurance, Securities and Banking Office of Innovation, invites you to join us for an engaging and forward-looking conversation spotlighting Black fintech and Web3 innovators shaping the future of finance in DC.
This dynamic convening will bring together entrepreneurs, investors, ecosystem leaders, and technology professionals to explore how emerging technologies such as blockchain, digital assets, and decentralized finance are transforming industries, expanding access to capital, and creating new pathways for economic empowerment.
As financial technology continues to evolve, it is critical that Black founders and underserved communities are positioned at the forefront of innovation. This event will highlight local pioneers who are leveraging fintech and Web3 solutions to solve real-world challenges, strengthen small businesses, and reshape how communities engage with financial systems. This dynamic conversation between the DISB Office of Innovation and GWBCC leadership will explore the evolving fintech landscape from an awareness, access, and education perspective. The discussion will ground attendees in the fundamentals of blockchain and fintech, why these technologies matter now, and how they impact small businesses, entrepreneurs, and communities of color. Participants will also gain insight into regulatory frameworks, innovation opportunities, and emerging pathways for responsible growth and market participation.
DC Fintech & Web3 Founder Showcase
This high-energy round-robin showcase will feature leading Black tech founders from across the region. Each presenter will share:
- The problem their company is solving
- How they are creatively leveraging fintech, digital assets, or blockchain
- The measurable impact they are making in underserved communities
- Partnership, investment, and ecosystem opportunities
The fast-paced format is designed to maximize visibility, foster collaboration, and create a strong platform for deal flow, innovation, and strategic connections.
