The Greater Washington DC Black Chamber of Commerce (GWBCC) invites members to participate in a timely and forward-looking workshop and panel discussion hosted in partnership with The Washington Informer. 

This session explores the intersection of artificial intelligence, media, advocacy, and business, with a practical focus on how emerging tools can support storytelling, policy awareness, and resource development. This event is designed to equip business owners, nonprofit leaders, creatives, and students with insights into how AI is shaping communications, grant development, and civic engagement—while maintaining ethical, community-centered approaches.

Introductory Workshop 

Sterling McKinley, Clarity AI Solutions An overview of practical AI applications for organizations, including how emerging tools are being used to support research, communications, and operational efficiency. 

Welcome & Opening Remarks

Aisha Bond, President, Greater Washington DC Black Chamber of Commerce. A brief welcome highlighting the importance of innovation, access to information, and responsible technology adoption for Black-owned businesses and community institutions. 

Panel Discussion Moderator: Howard Jean, CEO, Black Meta Agency 

Panelists include representatives from: Environmental advocacy Business and entrepreneurship Media and journalism AI leadership Student journalism The discussion will examine how AI is influencing media, advocacy, business decision-making, and public narratives, followed by audience 

Q&A

Post-Panel Demonstration Howard Jean will provide a live demonstration of AI tools designed to support grant tracking, research, and development, offering attendees practical takeaways they can apply immediately.
